3046-REF Gravimeter

This refractometer is intended for the determination of the freezing point of cooling liquids based on ethylene glycol (EG) or propylene glycol (PG). It can also be used to test the concentration of ethylene glycol or propylene glycol in antifreeze fluids. In addition, the instrument has a separate scale for measuring the density of battery fluid (BF) and the freezing point of cleaning fluids / windscreen washer fluids (CW / CF).

What can be measured with this device:

- Glycol-based coolants: ethylene glycol (EG) or propylene glycol (PG) - frost -50 °C to 0 °C
- Cleaning fluids / windscreen washer fluids (CW / CF) - frost -40 °C to 0 °C
- Battery fluid / other density measurements (BF - battery fluid) - density range of approximately 1.100 to 1.400 g/cm³
- ADBlue / urea solution - the refractometer detects and displays the urea concentration, making it useful for modern diesel exhaust systems (5-40%)
