3M™ 8068E FAST G Flexible Airtight Tape is impermeable to air, vapor, and water. It features a fiber-reinforced film and a high-strength acrylic adhesive. FAST-G has no release liner, while FAST-M has a plastic-coated kraft release liner. The product uses a unique acrylic adhesive that bonds strongly and holds up at higher and lower temperatures than traditional joint tapes. It bonds even to damp surfaces and can be installed in temperatures as low as -20°C and as high as +50°C. It is compatible with many construction sealants and does not react adversely with synthetic rubber, butyl, polyurethane, silicone, or silane-based hybrid sealants. The high-strength acrylic adhesive bonds to concrete, concrete blocks, anodized aluminum, galvanized metal, plaster, and plywood without the need for primers. The fiber-reinforced film strengthens the tape and reduces stretching.
