Solves the challenges of bonding low surface energy (LSE) materials and delivers durable results where other solutions require special surface treatment. Excellent bonding performance on difficult bonding surfaces such as PP, TPO and TPE as well as composite materials including glass filled plastics, glass and carbon reinforced or gel coated composite materials and most polyester paints without primer. Also adheres well to MSE plastics and metals. The modified acrylic structure of 3M VHB Tapes LSE Series withstands hot, cold and fluctuating temperatures, UV light, moisture and solvents. The tape seals the joint from environmental conditions. The tape’s wide temperature range makes it a durable alternative to rivets, welds and screws. 3M™ VHB Tape permanently bonds materials together and distributes the load across the entire joint area. The soft foam structure provides excellent load-bearing and gap-filling properties. Bonding occurs holistically across the entire contact area when joining rigid or irregularly shaped materials. This provides a flexible bond that can withstand dynamic loading. 3M VHB Tape LSE Series is designed for bonding a wide range of materials, providing versatile performance at different temperatures on MSE and LSE surfaces, and allowing for thermal expansion when joining dissimilar materials. Heat resistance of +100 °C long-term and +150 °C short-term. The joint is highly resistant to a wide range of applications both indoors and outdoors and is suitable for use in a wide range of industries.
