A powerful, battery-powered angle grinder equipped with a bottom safety switch for demanding use, for example in industry. The machine is equipped with an X-LOCK mechanism, which allows for easy and fast disc changes without tools, and it uses 125 mm diameter discs. The disc guard is also easy to adjust, install or remove without tools.

A powerful, long-lasting and maintenance-free brushless motor gets its power from a Makita 40V XGT® battery. The adjustable rotation speed from the adjustment wheel in the range of 3000 – 9000 min⁻¹ helps to adapt the power to different applications.

Readiness for the AWS (Auto-start Wireless System) dust extractor remote start function, which allows the dust extractor to start wirelessly via a Bluetooth connection at the same time as the machine itself. Thus, there is no need for a separate dust extractor start!

The AFT (Active Feedback sensing technology) system continuously monitors the disc's rotation speed and shuts down the machine if the disc jams, preventing dangerous situations for the user due to possible kickback. Safety is also increased by the disc brake, which stops the disc quickly when the machine is switched off. Restart protection prevents the motor from starting if the battery is inserted into the tool with the switch locked. Soft start increases user comfort.

The Makita XPT system effectively protects the machine against water and dust even in the most demanding conditions.
