Battery Coolant/Glycol

This refractometer is a versatile and accurate measuring instrument that helps measure and verify the concentration and freeze protection of a wide range of liquids - including coolants, battery electrolytes, battery electrolyte solutions, and urea-based additives such as AdBlue. Particularly valuable in automotive and engineering applications, as well as in industrial environments where correct fluid concentrations and temperature protection solutions are important.

What it can measure:

- Antifreeze and glycol content of coolants - suitable for both ethylene glycol (EG) and propylene glycol (PG). Measuring range: freeze protection -50 °C to 0 °C.
- Battery electrolyte density/acid content (BF) - helps check the battery's condition and prevent incorrect installation or acid dilution. The measuring range is indicated by the density.
- Windscreen washer fluid / washer fluid freeze protection (CW/CF) - measures the freeze protection of the solution, which is important for car maintenance.
- AdBlue (urea-based additive) concentration - the refractometer has its own scale to check that the urea solution concentration is correct (usually ~30-35%).
