Bearing housing seal

SKF SNL housing seals are the first barrier against contamination. The four-lip seals replace the former double-lip seals. The four-lip seals are more effecitive than the double-lip and generate less friction, which enables higher shaft speeds. For highly contaminated environments, SKF recommends the three-barrier solution. This cost-effective sealing solution can have a significant impact on bearing service life as contaminants have to pass through three barriers to reach the bearing.
