The weights of packages and products are weighed and checked extensively in dispatch centers, mailing points and other goods logistics processing points. The capacity of the scale and the size of the weighing platform are selected to suit the application. The clear display with backlight and large numbers makes it easier and faster to read the weighing results. Typically, the reading accuracy of the scale is not a determining selection criterion.

The basic tools suitable for basic package handling are EOB and FCB, as well as the standard model IOC, especially when larger overload-protected platform sizes and capacities are required. The standard FCB and IOC models are also acceptable for sales weighing (models with product codes ending in M).
