C 2210 V/C4 Carb bearing
SKF
SKF's CARB toroidal roller bearings combine the advantages of three different bearing types: accommodates angular misalignment like a spherical roller bearing, accommodates axial displacement like a cylindrical roller bearing, and have a shallow design like a needle bearing. Very good load carrying capacity. In a CARB bearing, the axial displacement takes place in the rolling elements of the bearing, so there is less friction and axial load. In addition, the load distribution is more uniform in spherical roller bearing-toroidal roller bearing applications than between two spherical roller bearings. Therefore, a CARB bearing can be used as a free bearing in self-aligning bearing systems.

There are both cylindrical and tapered toroidal roller bearings (K= 1:12 and K30=1:30). Toroidal roller bearings normally have a steel cage. Also available in full complement versions without a cage (V) or with a polyamide cage (TN9). Large CARB bearings are also produced with a brass cage (M). Toroidal roller bearings are also available with the inner ring surface hardened (HA3). |
