However, be prepared to allow for a small correction when stretching the tape measure; the set length may need to be reduced by approximately 2.0 mm after measuring due to safety or material stretching. The width is 13 mm and the tape thickness is about 0.2 mm, making it lightweight yet sufficiently sturdy for good manageability. Circumferences can be read from the lower scale and diameters from the upper scale—this makes it easier to measure without the need for separate calculations.
