Counting scales
The functionality of counting scales is designed for counting quantities of items. The weight of an individual piece is determined from a sample batch or can be predefined. In sample batch counting, a sample batch is loaded onto the scale, from which the scale calculates the exact unit weight used to count the quantity of a larger batch. Depending on the model, counting may also be possible with a known unit weight, which can be stored in the scale's memory. High-quality counting scales optimize counting results during use.

The possible tolerance feature of the counting scale can be used for packaging bulk products or for checking the quantity of packaged products. Lower and upper limit values can be defined, and the scale provides an audible and visual signal outside these limit values. The counting scale is particularly useful in warehouse operations, such as inventory counting and order picking. It greatly accelerates the process, saves labor costs, makes the work more meaningful for the operator, and reduces costly errors. Its payback period is usually very short. Various platform, hook, and pallet scales, as well as weighing forks and pallet truck scales, are capable of counting with a sample batch. |
