Dial Gauge, Flat Back, ISO Type

The Mitutoyo 2044AB-09 is an analogue dial indicator according to the EN ISO standard with a flat back casing. It has a measuring range of 0-5 mm, a division of 0.01 mm and a travel per revolution of 1 mm, a scale of 0-100 and a diameter of 57 mm. The dial indicator has a stem diameter of 8 mm and a flat back surface for mounting, so it can be mounted on various racks and jigs with screw fixing. The construction is shockproof, the contact tip is made of carbide and has an M2.5 × 0.45 mm thread. The maximum measuring force is approximately 1.4 N and the maximum permissible error is 0.013 mm over a 5 mm measuring range, according to the manufacturer. The dial indicator is also specified with MPE, hysteresis and repeatability values and has a mass of approximately 0.14 kg.

The product is suitable for machine shops and the metal industry for general length and displacement measurements where a 0-5 mm measuring range and 0.01 mm resolution with analogue display are required. It is used in process and final inspection in manufacturing industry, as well as in jigs and measurement tables in quality control and measurement laboratories, where the flat base frame facilitates fixed installation. In addition, the dial indicator is suitable for service and maintenance work for alignment, clearance and range of motion measurements on machines and equipment where measurements need to be taken using an impact-resistant, flat-bottomed dial indicator.
