Mitutoyo 7211A - Depth gauge with dial indicator

The Mitutoyo 7211A is a rectangular dial depth gauge designed for accurate and repeatable depth measurements in machine shops, production and quality control. The base plate of the gauge is hardened, precision ground and micro-finished to ensure that the measurements are always based on a very straight and uniform reference surface. This design ensures reliable measurement results, especially when measuring critical grooves, bores or step dimensions.

The measuring range is 0–200 mm, and the dial indicator has a stroke length of 10 mm. The scale has an accuracy of 0.01 mm and the system is specified with a measurement accuracy of ±15 µm, making it suitable for both precision machining measurements and general installation work. The base flatness of 5 µm supports the overall measurement accuracy. The depth gauge is equipped with a spherical contact tip with a radius of 1.5 mm, allowing measurements in narrow grooves and deep holes.

Five extension rods (10, 20, 30, 30 and 100 mm) are supplied to adapt the measuring range to different applications. The depth gauge is supplied in a box and includes a spindle lift lever, a carbide ball contact tip and a dial indicator 2902AB. With a total weight of approximately 260 g, the instrument is stable and robust during use, yet easy to handle.
