The Mitutoyo 7223A is a round-base dial depth gauge suitable for accurate depth measurements in grooves, pockets, and holes. The reference surface of the base is hardened, precision ground, and micro-lapped, ensuring that the measurement is always based on a very flat and reliable reference surface. The round base plate makes the tool agile to use even in tight spaces and on narrow surfaces.

With a measuring range of 0-10 mm and a dial division accuracy of 0.01 mm, even small depth variations are easy to read directly from the dial. The dial gauge has a stroke length of 10 mm, a system accuracy of ±15 µm, and a base flatness of 5 µm. The depth gauge is equipped with a spherical contact point with a radius of 1.5 mm and a carbide tip. Such a tip is ideal for measuring drilled holes and grooves and is durable for long-term use.

With a mass of about 180 g, the gauge is sturdy yet easy to handle. The instrument is supplied in a box and is equipped with the Mitutoyo 2902AB dial gauge, which provides a clear and easy-to-read analogue scale.
