Dial Indicator Thickness Gauge

The Mitutoyo 7321A is an analogue thickness gauge designed for measuring wall thicknesses of pipes, foils, paper, and thin sheets, as well as for estimating the thickness of lenses or the depth of grooves. The gauge operates on the dial gauge principle and has flat contact surfaces, allowing measurement even on flat plates and internal surfaces.

The measuring range is 0-10 mm with a scale interval of 0.01 mm and a declared parallelism of 5 µm. For a deep measurement surface, the gauge has a measuring depth (throat depth) of 120 mm, making it a more versatile measuring device compared to a standard gauge. The measuring force is up to 1.4 N, ensuring that contact with the surface to be measured is controlled and accurate. The contact point is a ceramic disc with a thread M 2.5 × 0.45 mm for the contact point. The total mass of the gauge is approximately 355 g, indicating a robust construction while remaining easy to handle.

The gauge offers a combination of accuracy, repeatability, and depth of measurement that makes it an excellent tool of choice when the items being measured are thin and require clearly readable values along with flexible measurement settings.
