The Mitutoyo 7326S is a high precision analog thickness gauge designed for fast and efficient measurement of thin materials such as paper, film, wire, sheet metal, and the like. The instrument has a flat measuring head with ceramic contact pads, ensuring evenly distributed measuring force, good wear resistance, and long life.

With a measuring range of 0-0.05 inches (≈1.27 mm) and a scale unit of 0.0001″, even the smallest irregularities or differences in material thickness are easily detected. The parallelism of the gauge is 0.0002″, and the maximum depth of measurement is 1.2″. In practice, this means that there is sufficient measuring depth for slightly deeper internal measurements, and the accuracy meets industrial-grade quality control standards. The weight of the gauge is around 205 grams, making it light to handle but stable enough for measurement situations.

The gauge is equipped with an ergonomic handle, thumb lever, and spring-loaded probe, allowing for quick and smooth measurements. The contact point is fixed with a #4-48 UNF thread, allowing the use of different measuring tips if required.
