Dial Test Indicator, Horizontal Type

The Mitutoyo 513-412-10E is a horizontal type dial indicator designed for machining and measuring environments where the target may be at a steep angle or in a confined space. The indicator has an analogue scale and offers a scale interval of 0.0005″ (≈ 0.0127 mm) and a measuring range of 0.03″ (≈ 0.76 mm). The scale is implemented in a 0-15-0 pattern, allowing both positive and negative deviations from the zero point to be clearly observed.

Structurally, the instrument is designed to withstand industrial use: it has an antimagnetic design, jewel bearing for smooth movement, and a flat anti-reflective glass for improved visibility of readings. In addition, the frame and glass are sealed together with an O-ring construction, which prevents oil and dust from entering the indicator and contributes to the reliability of the indicator. The measuring force is less than 0.2 N, ensuring a sensitive response upon contact with the surface being measured.

The dial indicator is supplied as a 'basic set' package, which includes standard mounting hardware, and has a stem diameter of 9.52 mm (3/8″). This model is ideal for precision measurements in production and quality control, especially in situations where a reliable and repeatable analytical measurement result is desired.
