Mitutoyo 500-162-30 – Digital ABS AOS caliper (0–200 mm)
Mitutoyo 500-162-30 is a digital caliper combining accuracy and practicality, suitable for a wide range of measuring tasks from industry to machine shops and quality control. It is based on Mitutoyo's state-of-the-art ABSOLUTE measuring system and the new generation AOS (Advanced Onsite Sensor) inductive sensor, which guarantee reliable measurement results even in dirty or humid working environments. Mitutoyo's ABSOLUTE measurement system is based on an absolute measurement scale built over the entire measurement length. Each measuring point has its own unique position on the scale, and the caliper always knows the exact position of the jaws or measuring head - even when the power is switched off. When the caliper is switched on, it does not "guess" the measurement situation and does not need to be reset to zero. The instrument reads its actual position directly from the scale and immediately displays the measurement result correctly. AOS (Advanced Onsite Sensor) is an inductive measurement sensor developed by Mitutoyo for use in digital measuring instruments such as ABS calipers and micrometers. Its function is to measure the position of the measuring head or jaws by electromagnetic induction, without contact and without optical components. The AOS sensor generates a magnetic field whose changes it monitors as the measuring device moves. Based on these changes, the device calculates the exact position and displays it as a digital measurement result.

- Measuring range: 0–200 mm
- Resolution: 0.01 mm - accurate reading with small increments.
- ABSOLUTE measurement: no need to reset after switching on the power - the correct starting point is maintained.
- AOS inductive sensor: signal is not degraded by contamination of the measurement plane (oil, water, dust). The sensor in this model is of the same quality as those in IP-rated models.
- LCD display: clear display with large digits, easy to read in different lighting conditions.
- Depth measurement and step measurement: external dimensions, internal dimensions, depths and step measurements can be taken with a single tool.
- SPC data output: enables direct transfer of measurement results to SPC systems (data interface, cable/adapter separately).
