This Mitutoyo ABSOLUTE digital caliper with a carbon fibre reinforced body is designed to provide accurate and repeatable measurement results in the demanding conditions of industrial and engineering applications. Thanks to the carbon fibre material, the caliper is extremely lightweight, which contributes to ease of use over long measuring ranges. The construction is highly durable, with an IP66 protection rating safeguarding the instrument from both dust and splashing liquids such as coolants. Measurement data is clearly displayed on the LCD screen, and the ABSOLUTE system retains the zero point in memory even after power is switched off, so the caliper is ready to use without needing to reset it each time. In addition, the instrument has an offset setting and a preset function that allows for flexible initial value settings based on measurement needs. The SPC data output allows the results to be transferred to quality control and measurement systems.
