Safestep GL-222 is a self-luminous contrast profile for marking stair edges, which improves visibility without electricity. The profile is designed specifically for locations where safety, clarity, and easy installation are important. GL-222 utilizes photoluminescent material that stores ambient light and emits it in the dark for several hours. Stair edges remain clearly visible even when lighting is poor or completely absent, supporting safe movement during power outages and emergencies.

Safe and durable contrast marking

The profile has a wear-resistant surface that also provides slip resistance at the edge of the stairs. The clear contrast and self-luminous feature enhance the visibility of stairs and reduce the risk of slipping and tripping in environments with high pedestrian traffic or variable lighting.

The contrast profile utilizes photoluminescent material that charges from ambient light – for example:
