Rex Nordic coolers have a submerged UVC light. Water from the tank is circulated past the light, where C-band ultraviolet radiation destroys all bacteria and viruses. This protects users from harmful microorganisms. An evaporative cooler can lower the temperature by 4–12 °C when the outdoor temperature is above 22 °C.

In the smallest M902 COOL model, the water tank is 60 litres and the maximum power consumption is 510 W/h (+/-10%). In the mid-size M703 COOL model, the water tank is 170 litres and the maximum power consumption is 850 W/h (+/-10%). In the largest REX48000 model, the water tank is 230 litres and the maximum power consumption is 1100 W/h (+/-10%).
