The premium performance 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Flap Disc 1169F is a long-lasting, versatile grinding disc offering all the essential benefits of a flap disc. These include adaptability, ease of use and a lower risk of workpiece surface hollowing than usual. The 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Flap Disc 1169F, with 3M precision-molded ceramic abrasive grain, durable polyester cloth backing and, as a novelty, curved sides, removes up to 49% more abrasive material than the 3M™ Cubitron™ II Flap Disc 969F 40+ and up to 66% more than the 3M™ Flap Disc 769F 40+. It is a strong solution for medium and demanding applications such as beveling, weld seam grinding, deburring, edge and corner grinding. It also leaves a clean sanding finish, making it ideal for applications such as surface smoothing and pre-processing.

The 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Flap Disc 1169F features the new patented 3M precision-molded ceramic abrasive grain with the novelty of curved sides. This allows the abrasive grain to crack as it is ground, revealing sharp abrasive grain edges that cut metal cleanly - unlike traditional abrasive grains, which can hollow out the surface of the workpiece. Due to the fracturing process, the 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Flap Disc 1169F is extremely durable and will maintain a good cut rate throughout its service life.

Technical tip: In many cases, the 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Flap Disc 1169F allows sanding and finishing to be combined in the same operation without changing the sanding product. Under normal conditions, the 1169F produces a surface that is one degree finer than a surface sanded with the same grain grade of fiber disc. Although the fiber disc removes material more quickly, using a flap disc can reduce operations and disc changes, saving time.
