GORE® Gasket Tape Series 500 is a next-generation sealing tape made from 100% expanded PTFE (ePTFE). It is developed based on DF material and utilizes GORE®'s unique multidirectional expansion process, enhancing its performance in demanding applications that require high sealing integrity and thermal resistance.

Applications: Sealing steel and metal flanges in demanding industrial environments where there are high temperatures, thermal cycles, and aggressive chemicals.

Temperature and Pressure Ranges (Typical):
Temperature: -60 °C to +230 °C / Pressure: Full vacuum to 40 bar

Maximum Operating Range (For higher pressures, contact your distributor):
Temperature: -269 °C to +315 °C / Pressure: Full vacuum to 210 bar

Features & Benefits:
• Excellent creep resistance – The unique multidirectional ePTFE structure of GORE® S500 ensures sealing performance under thermal cycles and temperatures.
• Wide temperature and pressure range – Reliable performance across a broad temperature spectrum and high pressure, making it ideal for industrial processes.
• High chemical resistance – Made from 100% ePTFE, making it chemically inert and compatible with nearly all chemicals (pH 0–14).
• Easy installation and adaptability – The gasket tape can be easily shaped on-site to fit the desired flange configuration and reduces storage needs. Adhesive backing simplifies installation, enabling quick application.

Certifications & Approvals
• DVGW DIN 3535-6 – Gas application approved
• BAM approval – Suitable for use in oxygen systems
• TA Luft (VDI 2440) – Low-leakage sealing solution
• Tightening torque recommendations for pressure equipment and chemical piping flange connections according to current regulations

Storage: ePTFE does not age, but we recommend using the product within two years of purchase to maintain optimal adhesive performance.
