The Sauter HEA measures material hardness on the Shore A scale for soft plastics and materials such as rubber, vinyl, elastomers, neoprene, silicone, and leather. The measuring technique involves the probe penetrating the material, leaving an impression. The Sauter HEA material hardness tester has a wide range of functions and is well suited for batch inspection measurements due to its capability for tolerance measurements.
