The Sauter HED measures material hardness on the Shore D scale for rigid materials (not metals) such as rigid plastics, epoxies, acrylics, laminates, etc. The measuring technique involves the probe penetrating the material, leaving an impression on the tested piece. The Sauter HED material hardness tester has a wide range of functions and is well suited for batch inspection measurements due to its tolerance measurement feature. Up to 500 measurements can be stored in the instrument's memory. The Sauter HED is supplied in a plastic box, which includes a power supply, charging cable, USB cable, and calibration plate.
