LOCTITE® 5189 is a form-in-place anaerobic sealing compound that is highly flexible and retains its properties at high temperatures and after curing. It cures tightly between compatible metal surfaces without requiring removal of air and is particularly suitable for use on aluminum surfaces, achieving excellent adhesion. The curing time and strength can be influenced by heat or the use of an activator. This product is designed for superior immediate sealing (blow-out resistance) in rigid metal flanged joints, such as in gearboxes and engine casings.
