LOCTITE® LB 8040 is a special mineral oil designed for loosening rusted, corroded, and seized parts. Shock freezing immediately lowers the temperature of the parts down to -43 °C, causing microscopic cracks in the rust layer. This allows the lubricating ingredients to penetrate the rust through capillary action. The product leaves a thin film on the parts that lubricates and prevents rust.
