Maintenance-free rod ends are bearing units that contain spherical plain bearings. Spherical plain bearings are self-aligning and can withstand vibrational movements, tilting, and rotational motions. Misalignment does not affect their performance or lifespan. SKF offers a wide range of spherical plain bearings in various models and sizes to meet the needs of each application in diverse conditions and loads.
Maintenance-free rod ends are available in right- or left-handed versions with internal (marked SI) or external threads (marked SA). Left-handed rod ends can be identified by the L designation in the product name. The rod ends that include maintenance-free bearings feature a PTFE-coated sliding surface, which can be recognized by the C-, TX-, and F-suffixes.
