Material thickness gauge Sauter TB 200-0.1US
Read more
The Sauter TB material thickness gauge is designed for measuring the thickness of hard and homogeneous uncoated materials such as metal, glass, and hard plastics. The measurement is based on pulse-echo ultrasonic technology and is not suitable for porous materials such as concrete, asphalt, Teflon, or wood. The gauge is calibrated using the calibration sensor supplied with the instrument. A contact gel is used between the measuring head and the target. The Sauter TB is supplied in a plastic case. The delivery includes a 5Mhz / 8 mm measuring head, one bottle of contact gel, and batteries (4x 1.5V AA). Other models also available (see Sauter TN). Functions: - material thickness measurement - reset / calibration - selection of material to be measured - measurement using reference technique to determine the correct sound velocity based on a sample piece - automatic switch-off (saves batteries) - unit of measurement change Basic features: - measurement range 1.5-200 mm - reading accuracy d= 0.1 mm - sound velocity 500-9999 m/s - measurement error up to 0.5 % of maximum - measuring frequency 5MHz, measuring head diameter 8 mm - units of measurement mm and inch - measuring head cable length 0.9 m Operating conditions: - dry indoor conditions - operating temperature 0-50°C Accessories, available separately: - factory calibration - external measuring head 5Mhz / 6 mm for thin materials - external measuring head 5Mhz / 10 mm - external measuring head 5Mhz / 12 mm for hot materials up to 300°C, measurement range 3-200 mm - contact gel, 70 ml |
