Extension arm-based 2-point inside micrometers offer a flexible and cost-effective solution for situations where the measuring ranges for inside diameters vary significantly. Models such as the 137 series use a modular extension arm system that allows one instrument to be adapted to several different measuring ranges without the need for separate measuring instruments. This makes the range particularly practical for machine shops, measuring laboratories, and workshops where reliable, multi-purpose measuring instruments are required. The micrometers in this product group use hardened steel surfaces or tungsten carbide tips. The tungsten carbide tip is a very hard, wear-resistant measuring surface, suitable for industrial and continuous measurement on hard materials. The hardened steel tip is suitable for general-purpose use. The analog 0.01 mm reading is well-suited for general-purpose measurement, and the two-point measuring geometry works well for holes, bushings, tubes, and cylindrical parts. |
