Details
OK Autrod 5183 is an AlMg4,5Mn type MIG welding wire for aluminum alloys. The strength of the weld material is higher than that of traditional alloy 5356 and it better meets the strength requirements of aluminum alloy 5083 (AlMg4.5Mn), which is why it is especially recommended for welding these alloys in shipbuilding. The additive is not recommended for applications at temperatures above 65C due to the risk of stress corrosion. Not heat treatable.
