Conditions of use
Pressure: ≤400 bar (600 bar by shortening the clearances)
Temperature: -40 °C ... +200 °C (depends on the O-ring material)
Speed: ≤4 m/s
Materials
(1) Dynamic sealing part bronze-reinforced 40% modified PTFE (PO52)
(2) O-ring NBR elastomer.
Installation
Rod seals of ød > 30 mm can be mounted in a closed groove.
Advantages
- Short installation length
- Slight difference between motion and rest friction, no stick-slip phenomenon
- Good resistance to wear
- Low risk of gap damage
- Good chemical resistance and wide temperature range by changing the O-ring material
- Due to the shape of the seal lip, the oil film travels well back into the cylinder
INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATIONS
The seals must be cleaned and any burrs removed carefully. The piston rods must have mounting chamfers. In the case of smaller rings which are especially liable to bending we recommend an open groove design for diameters smaller than 30 mm.
