Excellent chemical resistance. FEP is passive against almost all common chemicals and compounds, even at high temperatures and pressures.
FEP is not resistant to molten alkali metals, fluorine or some halogen compounds.

Materials
Cover:
Pure FEP tube with a thickness of 0.2 to 0.76 mm (depending on the thickness of the O-ring).
Made of material that meets the requirements of L-P-389A and ASTM-D2116; FDA approval.
Alternative core part from silicone, VITON or EPDM

Temperature: silicone core -60 °C ... +204 °C (continuous)
VITON core -15 °C ... +204 °C

Tolerances: As with vulcanised O-rings.

Installation:
The FEP O-ring is a primarily static seal that is mounted in an open groove (one that can be disassembled). The ring must not be pressed or stretched.
