Hotmelt adhesive tapes are particularly well-suited for automatic or semi-automatic packaging machines, as their initial adhesion to clean cardboard boxes is generally better than that of other adhesives. Another advantage of hotmelt adhesive tapes compared to other packaging tapes is their final bond strength. Generally, hotmelt adhesive tapes are noisy and do not withstand moisture or chemicals very well.
