The Cougartron Dual Seal system is your primary solution for the shielding gas plugging required for welding stainless steel pipes. This system is designed to withstand the demands of the welding environment while providing excellent usability. The Dual Seal flanges are made of high-quality silicone, which guarantees heat resistance up to 320°C. This makes it suitable for welding not only stainless steel but also Duplex steel and other special materials.

Whether you are working with straight pipe sections or bends, the Dual Seal system is easy to pull through, which ensures a tight seal and reduces both shielding gas use and shielding gas removal time. Typical inert gas removal time is less than 2 minutes. For example, an 8-inch (200 mm) pipe can be emptied of oxygen to less than 0.01% in less than two minutes.

The Dual Seal system is available for tubes with different internal diameters ranging from 25mm to 215mm, providing flexibility for a variety of welding projects. Three different lengths of Dual Seal shield gas extraction units are available: 120mm, 150mm and 200mm, all compatible with different sealing plates. Flanges available separately.
