The ergonomic body design of the HR004G rotary hammer makes for a more satisfying work experience. The tool features active vibration dampening, or AVT (Anti Vibration Technology). The tool's counterbalance mechanism counteracts vibration caused by the hammer mechanism, and additionally, both the rear and side handles feature vibration dampening. The constant-speed control keeps the speed steady even as the load increases. The rotary hammer can be fitted with the optional DX14 dust extraction attachment. The attachment significantly increases working productivity and comfort as health-hazardous drilling dust is collected already during the drilling phase.

Ease of use is further aided by the SDS-PLUS quick-change bit system and variable speed, typically controlled via the trigger switch. Additionally, the rotation speed can be limited via a separate adjustment wheel when drilling into more sensitive materials such as brick. Dual LED lights improve visibility in poorly lit work areas. Operating time with a 40V 2.5 Ah battery: drilling capacity with a 12 mm drill bit, approximately 120 holes 60 mm deep.
