The sliding switch of the fully automatic safety cutter must be held down at all times while cutting, ensuring a safe cutting operation. The blade retracts into the handle as soon as the sliding switch is released. The knife can cut various materials, including shrink films, double-layer cardboard, thin foam, paper, or tapes. The knife's spring and blade channel are made of stainless steel. The Olfa SK-6 Safety Cutter features a steel guard that automatically activates when cutting begins. After cutting is complete, the steel guard automatically moves over the blade, preventing accidental injury. The knife casing is extremely durable (fiberglass reinforced) and fits comfortably in the hand. Suitable for both left- and right-handed users.
