Scapa 2501 19mm/5m 0.5mm
48roll/box self-amalgating tape
Scapa 2501 is a self-amalgamating electrical tape based on polyisobutylene rubber, designed primarily for low-voltage insulation, splicing, and cable repair up to 46 kV. The tape is non-vulcanising and forms a void-free, homogeneous layer when applied under tension. It is compatible with a wide range of rubber and plastic dielectric materials, such as PVC, polyethylene, and neoprene. Typical applications include electrical component insulation and waterproofing, corrosion protection for metal pipes, and joint sealing in marine environments.

The nominal thickness of the tape is 0.5 mm, and it withstands temperatures ranging from −40 °C to +90 °C. Electrical properties include a dielectric strength of 42 kV/mm and volume resistivity of 1.5 × 10¹³ ohm·m. Scapa 2501 is supplied in various widths and lengths, individually packaged with a plastic interliner. The product maintains its properties for at least five years under recommended storage conditions. Direct contact with oils and petroleum-based solvents should be avoided, as they may affect the tape’s electrical performance. |
