The Diesella ultrasonic thickness gauge is a versatile and rugged instrument for measuring material thicknesses without damaging the workpiece. It is particularly suitable for monitoring wear and corrosion of metal parts and for checking the condition of various structures. It reliably measures a wide range of materials, including metals (e.g. steel, aluminium, brass, copper, zinc), plastics, and glass. The measurement is based on high-frequency ultrasound transmitted through the material and measured by reflection. An effective sensor allows accurate and high-resolution measurement. The instrument is controlled by an LSI integrated circuit, and the dual-element sensor supports accurate thickness calculation and measurement reproducibility.

Operation is also smooth in the field: the instrument features an automatic power-off function that turns it off after a period of inactivity.
