Environment
Ecology and Environmental Policy
At Etra we want to consider the environment with our choices and cause minimal strain on the ecosystem.
Our practical actions:
- We abide by local legislation, norms, and decrees
- We monitor the amount of packing material waste and strive to minize the environmental impact caused.
- We use solar power and install more solar plants to promote renewable energy
- We strive to minimize CO2 output by hosting virtaul meetings, choosing low-emission cars, and servicing our machines and equipment regularly.

Occupational Safety
Etra Oy's occupational safety is based on the international ISO 45001:2018 certification, which applies to all our locations. This certification emphasizes our commitment to creating healthy and safe work environments and preventing workplace accidents and illnesses.
We have implemented a continuous improvement model, where risk assessment and occupational safety measures play a central role. Our safety organization works collaboratively with all employees, and our action plan is regularly updated. Every employee receives comprehensive training on safety practices and proper procedures to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Etra achieves Silver level in EcoVadis sustainability rating
Etra's sustainability efforts have progressed significantly, and in 2026, we achieved the Silver medal in the EcoVadis sustainability rating. This result reflects our commitment to the long-term development of sustainability across all key areas.
EcoVadis is an internationally recognized sustainability rating platform that assesses companies' corporate social responsibility. The assessment is based on comprehensive documentation and standards, providing an objective and comparable view of companies' sustainability performance.
In the 2026 assessment, Etra scored an overall 76/100, which is a clear improvement compared to our previous year. This result places Etra in the top 9% of all rated companies. This progress reflects our work in sustainability management and the continuous improvement of our operating models.
Achieving the Silver level is an important milestone on our development path, but we view it as part of our continuous improvement. We will continue our work to develop sustainability, with the goal of advancing to the Gold level in the EcoVadis assessment next year.
Our sustainability work is based on the commitment of our entire personnel and close cooperation with our stakeholders.
