Renewed Etra Logistics Center: Growth and Better Service

Between 2023 and 2025, Etra has carried out a major expansion and automation project at its Logistics Center in Hämeenlinna Moreeni. The renewal supports business growth in Finland, Estonia, and Sweden. Modern warehouse automation and efficient processes enable delivery volumes to increase by more than half compared to the current level. The improved logistics enhance customer service and bring an even wider product range within the scope of fast deliveries.

After the expansion, the logistics center’s automation includes a total of about 135,000 bin locations. To illustrate the scale, the bins would form a continuous line nearly 80 kilometers long. There are 14 picking stations and a total of 11 receiving and replenishment stations. The logistics center now employs about 180 people, of whom just over half work in operational logistics roles.

Product Recall!

We have received information about a recall of the Petzl Newton, Newton Fast, and Newton Easyfit harnesses.
This extensive recall campaign is due to a potential defect found in the safety buckles of the products.
The recall concerns specific serial numbers, and the products must be inspected immediately.

The serial numbers affected by the recall can be found in this attachment.

Instructions for Action:

1. Stop using your Petzl Newton, Newton Fast, and Newton Easyfit harnesses immediately.
2. Check the serial numbers of your Petzl Newton, Newton Fast, and Newton Easyfit harnesses.
   1. If the harnesses were not manufactured in 2022, this recall does not apply to your product.
   2. If the harness was manufactured in 2022, check whether it is included in the recall. See the attachment to find out if the serial number is affected.
3. If your harness is included in the recall, follow these steps:
   1. Contact Petzl customer service through this link or send an email to: [email protected].
   2. If using the link, select the option “Product recall”.
   3. Remember to provide the serial number(s) of the harness(es) you are returning.
   4. Petzl will cover all shipping costs.
