Mitutoyo depth gauges
|
Mitutoyo depth gauges are designed for measuring grooves, steps, holes and other depths where a clear, analogue display and repeatable readings are required. Measurement is based on a dial gauge mounted on a rigid foot or base plate - the foot is placed on the reference surface and the gauge tip is lowered to the bottom of the feature being measured, resulting in a depth reading directly from the dial. With a range of measuring ranges, stand lengths and base shapes (e.g. rectangular or circular), the range includes options for both general-purpose and more precise applications. Typical resolution is 0.01 mm and the reference surface of the base plate is hardened, ground and micro-lapped to ensure measurement accuracy.
